Sony Pictures would seek to have the crossover event between characters with the MCU

A new rumor that reaches the Internet addresses the future that those Sony Pictures Marvel films could face, that could be called Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters, because although the studios are clearly making moves to develop independently of the Marvel films. Both Studios seems like Sony wouldn't completely rule out future MCU crossovers.

At the moment, the Spider-Man character is the only one confirmed to move between the Sony universe and the Marvel Studios universe, but it is still up in the air what they will do with those other secondary characters that it seems will also exist in both universes, for example. by J. Jonah Jameson or El Buitre. Perhaps these situations are where the latest rumor published by insider Daniel Richtman fits in.

The information that sounds is that Sony would be interested in continuing to make crossovers with the MCU, something that in fact we have not yet seen as such in the cinema. The idea that Sony would like to explore is to place characters, such as Venom, in one of the MCU projects.

Along the same lines, in the past, they wanted to have Chris Evans' Captain America for that Sinister Six project that they have been trying to carry out for years and that they have revitalized in recent months as a result of the boom that Spider-Man has had in the cinema and that "Venom" it worked so well at the box office.

Although right now the option of having Chris Evans would be ruled out, for the logical reason that he is no longer linked to the MCU, they would be equally interested in him being Sam Wilson's Captain America, a leap that we would see in the series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ” from Marvel Studios for Disney Plus.

It is clear that we are facing a very juicy rumor that must be taken with great caution but that could be plausible, especially knowing that in the past there were certain differences in how these two universes fit together and that despite the fact that for a time the future of Spider-Man in the MCU was in the air, there was finally consensus to reach a middle ground, largely thanks to the intermediation of actor Tom Holland.
